Little Pea founder and designer, Sara McMahon with daughter’s Byronie  and Holland.

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved clothes – from an early age I found joy in creating the perfect outfit.  As a child I can vividly remember dressing up in my mother’s slips, heels, and accessories and as I grew up this interest in fashion stayed with me and I went on to work on the sourcing end of the industry.  After the birth of my daughter’s my obsession grew to include the tiniest of fashions.  However, despite my constant efforts I never seemed to find just the “right” pieces for my girl’s.

After discussing my kidlet wardrobe woes with family, friends, and fellow mommies I came to the conclusion that there was a hole in the kids marketplace for my vision. A line of stylish yet functional separates that were both color and print driven. All with a girlish charm – little girl’s should be dressed like little girl’s, right?  Plus who can resist a little sweet ruffle detailing.  With a little encouragement and much support from family and friends, my collection Little Pea was born.

It has been such a thrill to watch my creations come alive!  So far, the collection has been well received.  Appealing to retailers as well as budding fashionista’s and their already style conscious moms!  I am hoping the Little Pea blog will help me connect with mommies, grannies, daddies (fans of Little Pea, perhaps) or anyone who shares my love of fashion and style.  I encourage you to check back often, as I will be sharing news about the collection and posting about general items (well, basically anything that I find fun, fresh and innovative).  Add me to your blog roll and I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!!
